30 Weeks!

Mark,

First I'm so sorry I'm writing this a little late again but here lately I'm just so tired, you seem to drain me of all my energy but you are so worth it. I got some great news this week. First, Momma passed her GD test which means no diabetes YAY! Second your great-grandma Nana let Momma know she is going to buy your crib for us which made Momma so happy. I can't wait to order it and get it all set up and ready for you! It's so hard to believe how close we are getting to meeting you, I'm so excited and yet still so nervous. I feel like this pregnancy has flown by and I know I'm going to miss having you move around and poking me in there no matter how exciting it is to have you here finally. We love you so much little boy!

Love,
Your Momma

This is what's happening in there this week:Baby's now the size of a squash!
As baby's skin smoothes out, his brain just keeps getting more wrinkled. All those grooves and indentations increase surface area, meaning more room for that oh-so-essential brain tissue. He's also adding some brawn -- his grip is now strong enough to grasp a finger.

29 Weeks and late again...

Mark,

I know I know I'm late again but this time it's not entirely my fault, your partially to blame lol. I had plans to type this up Sunday after your Daddy got home and took my picture but no you had to throw a wrench in my plans. Saturday you weren't moving much but you were moving so Sunday when I woke up and you weren't moving like you normally do I was thinking it was odd. Fast Foward several hours later and still no movement I was concerned and so was my Dr. so off to L&D we went again. Of course once we got all hooked up to the dopplers and they were pressing around on you, you woke up and started moving lots and made me look like a big fat liar and that's not nice little boy lol. Since then I have just been plain tired and haven't got on here but you are moving tons. I love you so much Mark and so does Daddy, I can't believe how close we are getting to meeting you!

Love,
Your Momma

What's happening in there this week:Baby's now the size of a squash!
Baby's energy is surging, thanks to white fat depositing beneath his skin. And since he's growing so fast (weight will triple by birth), things are getting kind of cramped in the womb. What all this means for you: Get ready for some more kicks and jabs to the ribs

28 Weeks!!!(A couple days late)

Mark,

First I'm sorry your letter is a couple days late but Momma has just been exhausted here lately. I finally got your nursery all cleaned out and I'm setting up the stuff we already have for you. I love sitting in the glider and think of how in just 2-3 months I will be rocking you to sleep in it. I can't wait to see what you look like and who you look more like but at the same time I love being pregnant and I know I will miss feeling you move around in here. We love you so much little boy! I failed my glucose test so I'm waiting to take the 3 hour test and really hoping to pass it.

Love,
Your Momma

This is what's happening in there this week:Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's lungs are mature enough that, if born right now, he has a pretty good chance of surviving (with help from medical technology). His skin is still pretty wrinkly (one byproduct of living in amniotic fluid) but will smoothen as fat continues to deposit.
