Mark,
I'm writing this letter to you now that we have met. Your birth has completely and totally altered me in ways I never thought possible. I love you more than you could ever imagine and its a love so deep and pure, I honestly never knew a love like this existed until I met you. Giving birth to you was one of the hardest things I have ever done but I have never been more proud of an accomplishment. I will never forget the moment the nurses put you on my chest and seeing you for the first time, it was like the world stopped and nothing else existed but us and our delivery room and all the pain I felt disappered. The first thing I noticed when I was taking in your beautiful face is how much you remind me of your Daddy and just how perfect you are. It was a very emotional moment when you entered this world, your Daddy and Grandma both watched you being born and they were both amazed and in tears by the entire event and Grandma even got to cut your umbilical cord which is really special to her because she has never experienced anything like this. My most favorite thing is watching your Daddy hold you and just seeing all the love he has for you on his face. I hope that you never forget how loved and wanted you are sweetpea. We had such a long and hard journey to get you but the moment we met you none of it mattered and all the tears and heartaches the journey brought were well worth it and I would never change anything because I can never imagine you not existing.
I love you so much Mark and thank you for letting me be your Momma, I promise I will always love and support you baby boy!
Love,
Your Momma

35 Weeks!!!
My little man,
Well here we are 35 weeks down and at most 35 days to go! I'm so ready to meet you and yet at the same time not ready to give up being pregnant. We love you so much Mark, I don't think I will ever find the words to express how special you are to us and how much you were and wanted and loved. I feel like being your Momma is my new identity and I can't wait to actually be your momma in a physical sense. You are proving to be just as stubborn as Momma and Daddy though that's for sure. No one but Momma has yet to feel you kick or move(and I sincerely think that no one ever will). Everytime you give Momma a few good kicks when Daddy is around and he puts his hand there you instantly stopped and don't start moving again until he moves his hand. I wish I could predict the day you will decide to come, I'm thinking it will be sometime during the week of Sept. 12-18. I just have a feeling your going to come smack dab in the middle of the month. Grandma is really hoping you stick it out past your due date and make it to October 1st since her birthday is the second lol. Keep growing in there little boy(but not too much, you seem to be short on space already lol).
Love,
Your Momma
This is what's happening in there this week:Baby's now the size of a honeydew!
From now on, baby's growth is mostly in the plumping up department -- though he won't get much longer, he'll put on a pound or more of baby fat before birth. (He's about 15 percent right now and will be about 30 percent by full-term.) His hearing is totally developed (tip: baby responds best to higher pitches), and if he really is a "he," his testes have probably completed their descent.

34 Weeks!!!
Mark,
I can't believe I'm already 34 weeks pregnant and that me and Daddy have known about you for a whole 30 weeks already. Time has flown by and doesn't seem to be slowing down at all! You could be here in as little as 3 weeks little boy and that excites me so much and terrifies me at the same time. I'm still flip flopping with my emotions, I can't wait to meet you and see what you look like but at the same time I'm not ready to give up being pregnant with you. I have experienced so many new things with being pregnant with you and I love it. I love feeling you kick and move in there so much and already anticipate how much I'm going to miss it once your an outside baby. We are getting more and more prepared for you every week and love you so much baby boy!
Love,
Your Momma
This is what's going on this week:Baby's now the size of a honeydew!
Baby can recognize and react to simple songs...time to start practicing your lullabies! In fact, baby will recognize frequently sung tunes after birth and probably find them soothing. Less cute news: He now urinates about one pint per day. Get the diapers ready!

31, 32, and 33 Weeks!
My sweet little boy,
First and foremost I'm sorry I haven't kept up on letters the past couple weeks but Momma's baby shower was last weekend so I spent the weekend before that cleaning and was exhuasted and last weekend was the shower so I was organizing your room and belongings. Speaking of your room, it looks like an actual baby room now. We have your crib set up with clean sheets and all that good stuff, your swing and bouncer ready for you to relax in, the changer which is currently housing some of your clothes and bath stuff and a nice fluffy recliner/rocker which me and Daddy can't wait to sit in with you(P.S. both of the puppies LOVE it so we bet you will too). It's starting to feel so real that you are going to be here next month, how is that possible that so many days, weeks, months have flown by? I'm so excited to meet you but on the same hand I'm a little sad to give up feeling you squirm around in my belly, although I probably won't miss you sticking your little butt under my ribs and out.
Funny story about that, Momma was laying on her side kinda propped up on the couch and somehow you really nestled into my side so when I sat up your butt was poking waaay out(it looked like a giant lump). I pulled my shirt up to see my side and to show Daddy and he got all grossed/freaked out haha. He was telling Momma to pull her shirt done and how weird it was to see you sticking out, he wouldn't even touch you. Speaking of touching mister, your Daddy still hasn't felt you kick yet and it's not for a lack of trying, see what you can do about that mmmkay? We love you so much little man!!

30 Weeks: Baby's now the size of a squash!
As baby's skin smoothes out, his brain just keeps getting more wrinkled. All those grooves and indentations increase surface area, meaning more room for that oh-so-essential brain tissue. He's also adding some brawn -- his grip is now strong enough to grasp a finger.
31 Weeks: Baby's now the size of a squash!
Baby's going through major brain and nerve development these days. His irises now react to light, and all five senses are in working order. (He won't pick up anything from his nose until after birth, though -- smell is transferred through air, not amniotic fluid.)
32 Weeks: Baby's now the size of a squash!
Ready or not, baby's getting ready to emerge. He's probably in the head-down position by now, with his bottom facing up. This is the comfiest way for his body to fit in your increasingly cramped womb and will make his eventual exit (only a few months away now!) much easier. (If he's still head-up, don't panic -- there's still time for a flip before birth.)
33 Weeks: Baby's now the size of a honeydew!
Things are heating up inside as well: Baby may grow up to a full inch this week alone, and his brain is developing like crazy. Pretty soon, he'll be able to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing. Also, his bones are hardening, and he's started to keep his eyes open when he's awake.

30 Weeks!
Mark,
First I'm so sorry I'm writing this a little late again but here lately I'm just so tired, you seem to drain me of all my energy but you are so worth it. I got some great news this week. First, Momma passed her GD test which means no diabetes YAY! Second your great-grandma Nana let Momma know she is going to buy your crib for us which made Momma so happy. I can't wait to order it and get it all set up and ready for you! It's so hard to believe how close we are getting to meeting you, I'm so excited and yet still so nervous. I feel like this pregnancy has flown by and I know I'm going to miss having you move around and poking me in there no matter how exciting it is to have you here finally. We love you so much little boy!

29 Weeks and late again...
Mark,
I know I know I'm late again but this time it's not entirely my fault, your partially to blame lol. I had plans to type this up Sunday after your Daddy got home and took my picture but no you had to throw a wrench in my plans. Saturday you weren't moving much but you were moving so Sunday when I woke up and you weren't moving like you normally do I was thinking it was odd. Fast Foward several hours later and still no movement I was concerned and so was my Dr. so off to L&D we went again. Of course once we got all hooked up to the dopplers and they were pressing around on you, you woke up and started moving lots and made me look like a big fat liar and that's not nice little boy lol. Since then I have just been plain tired and haven't got on here but you are moving tons. I love you so much Mark and so does Daddy, I can't believe how close we are getting to meeting you!
Love,
Your Momma
What's happening in there this week:Baby's now the size of a squash!
Baby's energy is surging, thanks to white fat depositing beneath his skin. And since he's growing so fast (weight will triple by birth), things are getting kind of cramped in the womb. What all this means for you: Get ready for some more kicks and jabs to the ribs

28 Weeks!!!(A couple days late)
Mark,
First I'm sorry your letter is a couple days late but Momma has just been exhausted here lately. I finally got your nursery all cleaned out and I'm setting up the stuff we already have for you. I love sitting in the glider and think of how in just 2-3 months I will be rocking you to sleep in it. I can't wait to see what you look like and who you look more like but at the same time I love being pregnant and I know I will miss feeling you move around in here. We love you so much little boy! I failed my glucose test so I'm waiting to take the 3 hour test and really hoping to pass it.
Love,
Your Momma
This is what's happening in there this week:Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's lungs are mature enough that, if born right now, he has a pretty good chance of surviving (with help from medical technology). His skin is still pretty wrinkly (one byproduct of living in amniotic fluid) but will smoothen as fat continues to deposit.

27 Weeks!!!
My sweet son,
Mark, we have reached a big milestone this week, Momma is in the third trimester which means we are in the last leg of this part of our journey! I'm so excited to see you and meet you after all this time but I'm still pretty nervous too. Your kicks are getting stronger all the time, on Monday Momma actually SAW you kick! It made a part of my belly jump, it was so neat! Daddy is still waiting to feel those kicks, everytime I get him to put his hand where you kick, you stop kicking. I have finally distinguished when you are getting hiccups, nothing in particular seems to trigger them though. We love you little boy and hope you know just how much.
Love,
Your Momma
This is what's happening in there this week:Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's lungs are going through some major developments these days, which (combined with the opening of previously plugged nostrils) means he's now able to practice inhaling and exhaling. The lack of air in your womb means every "breath" is filled with amniotic fluid, but hey -- it's progress.

Week 26!!!
My sweet son,
Here we are another week has passed, I can't believe there is only 98 days until your due date.It feels like this milestone was so far away in the beginning and now it's already here.Today is Father's Day, I can't wait to celebrate this day with you here next year! You are moving in there tons but Daddy still hasn't got to feel one yet. I'm starting to sleep better now that we bought a body pillow for me. I'm starting to get super bad heartburn though and I have had some Braxton Hicks this past week too. A stranger told me this week how small I look and how there was no way I was due in September, it made me want to laugh b/c I definately don't feel small these days lol. I hope that you give me a few strong kicks when Daddy is around this week so he can feel you finally. Mark, you are such a loved little boy and I want us both to remember that always.
Love,
Your Momma
Here is whats happening in there this week:Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's soaking up your antibodies, getting his immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and he'll soon be practicing the blink...perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes.

Week 25!
My sweet son,
Well here we are one week closer to you being here. You are causing Momma to lose sleep and I mean that literally. It's getting harder to get comfortable at night and my hips have starting to give me some problems and pain. You are worth every pain and wink of lost sleep though. I just look at it this way, at least it's preparing me for when you get here lol. Another exciting thing happened this week...Momma got to feel you kick on the outside!!! It was a sweet moment and I just wish Daddy would have been home for it but he was working to take care of us. You are being a stubborn little bugger, you haven't done it since and when I think I can feel one and put my hand there you stop until I take my hand away. I'm hoping this week you give me a few good kicks that Daddy can feel, we love you so much Mark.
Love,
Your Momma
This is what's going on in there this week:Baby's now the size of an eggplant!
That oh-so-handy sense of equilibrium is kicking in, and baby's learning to distinguish right side up from upside down.

Week 24!
My sweet baby boy,
24 weeks today means we have reached viability day!!!! This excites Momma so much since you now have a fighting chance of survival outside of me but I want you to stay MUCH longer that way it's not just a fighting chance but a normal chance at life. It's so hard to think in 3 and a half months you will be here, its seems like we just saw that beating heart in a little blobby baby last week and now your in my belly dancing around and a little person already. I still feel like there is so much we need to do to prepare for you but I know it will all come together and I won't be worrying about those things when I'm staring at you. We love you so much Mark!!
Love,
Your Momma
This is what's happening in there this week:Baby's now the size of a papaya!
Baby's skin is becoming more opaque as the fat starts to pack on. And, thanks to the formation of small capillaries, his newly thick skin is taking on a fresh pink glow.

23 Weeks!!!
My sweet son,
Mark, you gave me and Daddy quite a scare this week, all that growing and stretching your doing in there gave Momma some pretty bad pains so I had to go to Labor and Delivery to get everything checked out. Good news is no contractions and you were moving quite a bit in there so they released me to go home. Daddy said he had never been so scared or emotional before and Momma felt the same. It seems unfathomable to lose you before we officially meet and I hope we never have to face that. You mean so much to us already, your our baby boy our first son and nothing will ever change that. I hope you stay in there until September baby boy!
Love,
Your Momma
This is what's going on in there this week:Baby's now the size of a papaya!
Baby's little face is fully formed...minus the baby fat, of course. The next task at hand for baby: sprouting two teeny-tiny nipples!

22 Weeks!!!
My sweet little boy,
Have I mentioned how much I already love you lately Mark, you are already changing me and my life in so many ways and you aren't even here yet. I'm noticing that your starting to have certain times during the day/night that you always seem to move. You seem to move the most after Daddy gets home and starts talking with Momma. I bought you some books yesterday. I'm hoping you love books as much as Momma. I bought the Peter Rabbit's Giant storybook for us. I remember when I was little your Grandma(my Momma) used to read those stories to me and I can't wait to just hold you and read you those stories at your bedtime. You are such a blessing to us and I want you to always remember how loved and wanted you are.
Love,
Your Momma
This is what's happening in there this week:Baby's now the size of a papaya!
Baby's settling into sleep cycles, snoozing about 12 to 14 hours a day. It shouldn't be hard to figure out when -- just pay attention to those kicks as they start and stop.

Love,
Your Momma

21 Weeks!!!
My sweet baby boy,
Mark you seem to be getting more active with every week that passes and now I'm starting to see that some things I eat or drink can make you even more active. My current craving which makes you squirm all in my belly is grape soda, I'm not sure if it's the sugar or temperature or if you just like it lol. I find myself thinking of what traits I think you will have more and more these days. I wonder if you will have Daddy's eyes and Mommy's nose or if you will be pale like your Momma or tan like Daddy. I can't wait to meet you but I'm ready for the time you have left in my belly to slow down, I just enjoy feeling you and keeping you safe in there and I'm trying to soak in every minute but it seems to pass by so fast. Momma and Daddy love you so much and so do so many other people.
Love,
Your Momma
This is what's happening this week:Baby's now the size of a banana!
Baby's digestive system is busy creating meconium (a tarry black substance made of swallowed amniotic fluid, digestive secretion, and dead cells), which will fill the first diaper after birth

20 Weeks!!!
Mark,
My sweet little boy, today marks the halfway point 20 weeks down and another 20 weeks to go(give or take a couple weeks). Today is also another special day, Mother's Day. I have to say I don't think any gift compares to the gift you give Momma, not just today but everday. Your baby kicks are the most wonderful and magical thing to me, even when your on my bladder making me feel like I need to pee every five minutes lol. I love you so much already and can't imagine what the love will be like when we finally meet face to face. Thank you for letting me be your Momma and for being my son.
Love,
Your Momma
This is what's happening in there this week:Baby's now the size of a cantaloupe!
Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies respond best to tastes they've already had via amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you'd like your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch.

19 Weeks!!!
Mark,
My sweet little son, I never get tired of saying that. You are getting bigger and bigger, you are supposed to be the size of a mango but that's how big you were Monday so I'm betting your bigger now. I'm starting to feel your kicks, which it is amazing and I love feeling them even at 7:30 in the morning lol. You seem most active in the morning when I'm waking up and before I go to bed in the evening. You still seem to be low and enjoy kicking/punching/bouncing on Momma's bladder not that I mind since I love feeling you. Keep growing in there, Momma and Daddy love you so much!
Love,
Your Momma
This is what's happening in there this week:Baby's now the size of a mango!
Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo, oil, and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid. (Picture yourself after a nine-month bath, and the need for protection makes sense.) You might get to see the vernix at birth, especially if baby is premature.

My Son!
My sweet baby boy,
We found out that you are indeed a boy today, you were not shy about showing us that at all, hopefully you will become more modest with age lol. It's seems so more real telling people that I having a baby boy, a son and his name is Mark Jason. Daddy is beyond thrilled that you are his son and can't wait to teach you things and just love you. You brought tears to both of our eyes today, its so amazing to see how much you have grown and to imagine your future.
You were so cute during the ultrasound. Like I said you weren't shy, the first thing we saw was legs wide open and yep your are definately a boy haha. When she was measuring your arms you waved to us and then you folded your middle fingers down into what looked liked the sign for I Love You. All that must have worn you out because then you tried to take a nap, you rolled over a couple times and crossed your arms and put your hands beside your head.
I love you so much Mark and I'm glad I'm your Momma.

Your Momma

18 Weeks!!!
My sweet little babe,
Well hopefully this will be the last letter addressed to you as just my babe, I'm hoping the next letter I write tomorrow will be addressed to you by your name. We are really hoping you co-operate and let us know if you are a boy or a girl at the ultrasound tomorrow. I know it will be exciting either way, we haven't seen you since you were 7 weeks and the size of a blueberry and now you are 18 weeks and as big as a sweet potato!! I still don't know for sure if I have really felt you in there yet and can't wait for a real kick or punch and to know for sure it's you.
Love,
Your Momma
This is what's happening in there this week:Baby's now the size of a sweet potato!
Baby's become amazingly mobile (compared to you, at least), passing the hours yawning, hiccupping, rolling, twisting, kicking, punching, sucking, and swallowing. And baby is finally big enough that you'll soon be able to feel her movements.

Week 17!!!
My sweet little babe,
Well here we are at 17 weeks, just 3 weeks from the halfway mark and your the size of an onion. Momma was telling your cousin Jaymes how big you are this week and he thought it was the funniest thing and kept calling you my silly little "yunyin", remember he is almost 4 so he is silly too. I can't believe how close we are to being halfway done and halfway to the point where you completely change Momma and Daddy's life! We are so anxious to find out who you are and the beginning of who you are is Are you a boy or a girl. We hopefully will find out next monday, just 4 days after Momma and Daddy's 2 year anniversary. We already have so many hopes and plans for you and with you babe. September is just the beginning!
Here's what happening in there this week:
Baby's now the size of an onion!
Baby's skeleton is hardening, changing from rubbery cartilage to bone, and fat is finally accumulating around it. His umbilical cord is getting thicker and stronger, and those little fingers and toes now feature one-of-a-kind prints.

Week 16!!
My sweet little babe,
It's so hard for Momma to believe that we are already here at 16 weeks. We started trying to pick nursery stuff out for you this week, well Momma is, Daddy isn't too interested in this stuff and he sees how excited Momma is so he pretty much gave me the reins. I promise that you should love all the stuff I pick out kiddo. We finally have the big ultrasound scheduled, it April 26, only 2 more weeks!!! I'm hoping that you cooperate so we can finally know if your a baby boy or a baby girl, almost everybody thinks your a baby girl so we will see.
Love,
Your Momma
This is whats happening with you this week:
Baby's now the size of an avocado!
Watch what you say...tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean she can now pick up your voice. A few more minuscule changes: Eyebrows, lashes, and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming.
